Kathleen Hurley Wiecorek

Kathy has been a life- long resident of Rochester and an Urban Educator for over 35 years.  She received a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters Degree in Education from Nazareth College.  She holds a Certification of Administration from the State University of Brockport.

Mrs. Wiecorek taught at No. 19 School, and retired as an Administrator from No. 16 School.  She is currently a Supervisor for Student Teachers at St. John Fisher College.

Kathy was inducted into the Phi Delta Kappa Educational Fraternity.  She was recognized as the Rochester City School District “Teacher of the Year” in 1991-92.  She coordinated and managed many Mentoring Programs.  She served as Vice-Chair on the RCSD Teacher Center Board and was a member of the Law and Government Board of Trustees at Marshall High School.  Kathy also represented Rochester on the New York State Teacher Center Board.

Mrs. Hurley Wiecorek comes from a family of Rochester City School District educators and is the mother of one daughter.
